   Professor Greens music has a beautiful heartbreaking element of truth in which he mentions how he misses the father he had when he was seven who killed himself and how he shares the similar struggle of mental health and how the fact that his dad killed himself means he isn't able t talk to any about him and how he was left to be cared for by his grandmothers the constant references to a lullaby shows th feeling of safety as a child not actually a lover

   It's about someone who's stress and anxiety is getting to the point where they're struggling to sleep at night. In the music video, it shows a boy losing his granddad and his coming to terms with it, but the lyrics never specifically say what the anxiety is about. they wish that they could open up to someone but they aren't naturally open and they don't want to seem weak in doing so. and it's all really just saying that they're tired and they just want help, but they don't know how to ask for it.
