The Show Must Go On Lyrics

Empty spaces - what are we living for?
Abandoned places - I guess we know the score..
On and on!
Does anybody know what we are looking for?

Another hero - another mindless crime.
Behind the curtain, in the pantomime.
Hold the line!
Does...

the song was written about Brian's Marriage falling apart, NOT Freddies pending death (that would be Days of our life. Guys not EVERYTHING was about Freddie, his death, or HIV!

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

That song is about the fact that even with Freddie's death theband should continue their job as singers and musicians and don't let his dead make all band stop. And he died while he was working on queen the fans should break down and thats why he didn't wanted to make public that he had aids.

The song is a promise Freddy Mercury made the rest of the band make, that, after he died, they would find another singer and continue to be a band. He did not want them to stop becouse of his dieing. Also it is about Mercury stuggling with Aids and having to finish the last CD.

This song is pretty sad but brave.
Farrokh Bulsara, or Freddy Mercury as he is better by his stage persona was dying of AIDS at this point in his career. He knew he would live on through his music and he did not want to disappoint his many fans despite his quiet struggle with the disease. He was in a excruciating amount of pain during the recording of this very song, but "the show must go on" I respect the hell out of him for it!
