this whole song is about the lack of faith in humanity and all the sad, messed up institutions within society. Hypocritical priests, promises unkept, how everything will be better, yet nothing ever changes. A lot of problems in the world that will not be solved.... all contained in a single song.

Set in an Orwellian world (as is most of the album) it is about oppression, and how corruption is portrayed. There are mentions of real world happenings like after the rupture part 'pockets of the new world kings' with the new world being America, and how they have power over everything. 'Swollen stomachs in afra-asia' is about people not getting any food in Africa and asia, with their stomachs being swollen from air. 'like the priest that f***ed you as he wished for holy things' is pretty self explanitory...
