My Wish Lyrics

I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to...

I think this song is about somebody wishing somebody else the best in life. To keep holding on even when it gets tough, and that all their dreams come true.

I think this song was written to anybody who struggles on a daily basis, whether it be drugs, depression, suicidal tendencies.....etc......I think they wanted to send a message to people who are suffering from something, reminding them that there are people out there who love them and care about them, hoping they will take a look at thereselves and make life decisions that will better themselves.... giving hope to those who may have lost it.

This song is about a dad saying to his daughter that he hopes the days are easy to get through and that he wants the moments that really matter to forever stay with her. He wants her to listen to her heart and if there are obstacles to somewhere she wants to be or something she wants that she will overcome them and get to where or get the thing. He also wants her to always be smiling even when the day isn't easy. The chorus says that he wants her to fulfill all her dreams and make her life what she wants it to be, and he wants her to know that he loves her and wants everything that she does. He doesn't want her to remember the bad things in her childhood, but that she never forgets her childhood, her family and home. He doesn't want her to regret anything and he wants her to forgive and never to hold grudges. He wants her to help people, to be a good person and know that God forgives her for every mistake she makes, and he wants her to be generous, not greedy.

I was looking for a song for the mother and son dance for his wedding June 2. I picked it because all the other songs did not sleek to my heart like this one. I raised him by myself and it was a very rocky road. But at the end of the day I just wasn't him to know I want nothing but the best and although I might not see him everyday I love him

I have this song picked to play at my son's wedding when we have the Mom and Son dance...it's the perfect Mom to Son song. It doesn't sound like a song from a man to a woman it sounds like good advice for my son as he ventures to the next steps in life.

This song is about a child and the father wrote the song:
Singer-songwriter Jeffrey Steele talks to The Boot about the No. 1 hit for Rascal Flatts, 'My Wish,' which he wrote with Steve Robson.

I have four kids. In the past, I had written a song for both of my older daughters, Jessie and Casey. They always pipe up different thoughts when I write. My youngest daughter, Justine, was in the room that day and said, "Yeah, he never has written a song for me! He's got his favorite kids!" She was just giving me all this crap! [laughs] At the time she was 13. I said to her, "You know what ... I'm going to write a song about you today." I threw it back at her. She goes, "Yeah, right!" It just happened to be that day that Steve was coming into town from London to write with me. It's crazy ... I'll say something like that all the time, but it never really materializes.

Steve played me this music [that day], and when it was over, I asked him to play it again. It just captivated me. I just heard words coming. I started writing this song not really thinking about writing Justine a song. I started singing, "I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow" ... It just had a feel to it. I thought, "Wow! This is about somebody who is going somewhere with their life." Then it dawned on me ... this is Justine's song! This is it!

Once I got locked into it, 'My Wish' came to me for the title. I was just thinking about how crazy the world is right now for a kid to grow up in. I started writing it like I wanted her to know whatever she did in life, somebody was thinking about her all the time. Someone was always behind her no matter what.

Although this song does have many meanings to many people, that is the true story behind the song.

I'm planning to dance "My Wish" with my son as mother of the groom. Although he'll not be a day-to-day part of our family,I want him to know that our love and concern for him goes on. When he was born one of my paramount wishes was for him to lead a happy life. This song expresses that wish.

From a male perspective, this song is dedicated to Gabriel, whom for whatever reason decided to enter where he/she/it did not belong and seriously complicated a multi-layered mess of complicated confusion that never, ever ends because it extends beyond that then into here. Doubt there's much seeking forgiveness(there is a big difference between a sincere appology for shitty/hurful things said and wanting to be forgiven for it which usually is derived from caring enough to own up and caring NOT about the act of being forgiven) but perhaps giving forgiveness if there where legit reasons and not just for shits & giggles.

Also, silly bitches are always misunderstood and this silly bitch don't mind.

P.S. This song is about unconditional, agape love and not silly romantic nonsence. Oh!! And it's NOT dedicated to Gabriel AT ALL!! Only the specific message above ^ - Toodle-dee-doodles-

From a female perspectives. She knew her ex has someone else new. She wish him good luck. She began to realize that she was a destructive material him. Its beyond her control. She doesn't mean to hurt anybody. She simply do not know why?? everything she did or everywhere she went things got complicated and people misunderstood her.

That silly bitch seeking for forgiveness and begging him to unchain her heart for a new relationship but no love will involve like she put on him.

I think it is a words a parent would say to their child.

My sister requested this song played at her funeral so her children would always know she loved them and wanted the best for them.

I think this song is all about looking forward. You've fallen over and this song helps you get back up. Finding the strength to keep going for you dreams. When it gets tough. And on that road, not to walk alone and helping people along your way :D

I think this song is mostly about an adult who has looked down at a younger one that has gone through more than most, and just wants them, to now succeed as life goes on.

for me, it's about a girl telling her younger sister how she loves her by wishing her good life and future, and to be a good girl. though it's not easy to let her go, the older sister takes it willingly just for her to be happy and live a meanigful life without regeret and hurting anyone. and this song is just about me wishing my sister every good thing in life. i want her to have everything she wants. and i hope i have been good enough as a sister. i hope she gets well because i miss her so much.

The song is about what a father wishes his daughter as she's leaving home to find her own way and go on alone with her life. He wishes her the very best, hoping she'll never forget that, whether she's doing the right thing or not, someone will always love her.

My interpretation of "My Wish" is basically for anyone. Could be a best friend and talking to their best friend if they're going through a hard time. It's for everyone, though my Mom whenever she hears this song, thinks about my sister and I. "My Wish" is a song for everyone.
