   Its about flea and josh going to do ethiopia and having a touching experience. They also want the bands directive to turn to respect, care, and love to others, not drugs; hence the “tell my boy i love him so”

   This seems like someone is going through a depression, and you are trying to send them your love. It also sort of seems like someone is about to commit suicide, and they are telling someone to let their son know that they love them before they go. Also it is about Flea getting lost on tour in Ethiopia.

   I think this song is about giving your love to children in the form of teaching about things.
   He seems to be missing spending time with and wants to make quality time even better to make up for going away on the trip to Ethiopia.
   He is encouraging experiences and opening doors to new opportunities around him to experience more of life.
