   I think they all wrote the song, to me it seems like they're just toying with the ideas of what a parallel universe is.
   
   And each verse is like a snip it of ideas. Which you could interpret however you like. Say I paint a picture and you find your own one thousand words
   
   I over read someone saying that a sidewinder and a California king is two different snakes....I was sure it was just because it's a hook that sounds good, which is also true. But then thought they might be talking about two snakes like two different parallels, both are off the same kind but different. Because he says he's a sidewinder and a California king

   This song is about immortality and references some primaeval symbolism of same (snakes shedding skin etc) with more modern (meta)phsyics re paralell universes and evolution in general.

   V1... we come from a parallel universe, where we lived under the water....we have been here so long we forget what home is like.....
