Like the first one, this song is about an abusive relationship and how the people in the relationship abuse each other a lot, but in a twisted way, they care and love each other. Eminem's version of the song is the male point of view of the abusive relationship a.k.a the abuser. Rihanna's version of the song is the female point of view or a.k.a, the victim. The victim is getting hit over and over again, but she doesn't want to leave her partner ('So maybe I'm a masochist, but I don't want to ever leave').

This is common in domestic relationships. "I love the way you lie." Rihanna is basically saying I can't help to get away from you..I still love you even though it hurts me.
