Little Wonders Lyrics

let it go,
let it roll right off your shoulder
don't you know
the hardest part is over
let it in,
let your clarity define you
in the end
we will only just remember how it feels

our lives are made
in these small hours
these little...

    I believe means to keep going. So much bad can happen in our lives but we need to focus on the good things (the little wonders). Change is inevitable and the way react to changes in our lives is what defines us. I loved the quote in the film and how it really emphasised the moral, keep moving forward. Don't dwell on the events of the past or you'll miss all of life's little wonders.

    We are who we are because of our past experiences. Every moment is a little wonder. We should not dwell too much in the past or wish to change the past because what's important is the emotion we felt at the time, as time It's self moves along but what we feel remains with us, making us who we are. The bad emotions, hurt, regret, anger will somehow fade away but the joyous times will be so clear in our heart and minds, hence they define us.

    I saw Rob Thomas in Orlando and he gave a full blown explanation of how he was inspired to write the words of this song. He said he was in an "asshole" kind of mood for no reason, and was in Phoenix on tour in his bus. He looked at his dog who was so excited to be there and heading out for a walk. He put his mindset into that of his dog and realized how simple events make up your life while you are always waiting for the big things to happen. Point of the song is to not miss all those small things in the meantime. Great song!

    It’s a metaphor? For life. The journey. Let life happen and experience it. Keep your love and acceptance, don’t fixate on, and be trapped by, your negative, limited awareness, your “mis”-take on it.
    In your heart, see the larger meaning, and incorporate it, into your awareness.
    It’s only the heart that matters in the end Forgiveness, acceptance, assistance, and incorporation. These are the actions which will move you forward. Liberate you!
    These trials, little “wonders,” fate!
    Having discerned this and incorporated the rectification…you have healed the infirmities.
    The hardest part will be over!
    You have realized the truth. Then you have liberated yourself, assisted others in their journey to hed the burden, and surmounted the limits, the trap of life.
    “These little wonders” can be viewed in a varied spectrum of angles, and Interpretations, from a variety of spiritual awarenesses, life conditions, and personal experience!

    I think he is talking about kids or in this case little wonders and how their arrival in life is a twist and turn to fate. Also that our lives with kids feel like they are just small hours. He also says that "if it's me you need to turn to we'll get by" which I think is a reference to a kid seeking for advice. This is a little far fetched but this is what I got from it

    Everyone has a different interpretation of his song. I love that. With me, my daughter was pregnant (7 Months). Well 2 days before her baby shower I found out my dad had 14 days to live, (which my daughter was named after him)acute leukemia, he passed away 13 days 5/9/17. My granddaughter came into the world a week early 6/9/17. Do I believe my dad, my only parent who brought myself and my brother up our whole lives. I absolutely do...see I believe he knew the part of my heart that was so empty and deep he needed to do something, so he brought my "little wonder" to me a month to the day. I believe he took it upon himself to twist fate. So when I hear this song I go back to those 2 months and I smile knowing my dad was really there when she came in the world.

    I've always seen this song as about those moments when the world falls away. When you are laughing with your friends, moments with your family, long car rides in the dark, a perfect day, making love. I think he is talking about the beautiful moments with the people we love that go so quickly. By saying "the hardest part of over", he is referring to sadness and stress that consume our lives, and just letting those fall away to really live and love in those precious times is the hard part. The "clarity" is realizing what really matters and in the end you only remember the way you feel and so you should try to feel good. I love this song when I need to be reminded that I am allowed to take time away from reality and let myself be happy.

    I'm not going to lie every time I listen to this song I go right back to the moment I heard the horrible news about my son's cancer, even to this day words cannot describe the mix of sadness anger frustration depression and pretty much every other negative emotion all conjured up into one being... I also get and I should enjoy the little things because one day these small hours will no longer be around anymore but our emotions are imprinted on reality forever....

    Cherish the tiny moments of joy, of peace. No matter how insignificant they are, hold on to them because time does fall away: bad things pass but you lived through them. If nothing else they may recall possibility in times of sadness

    It means enjoy what life serves you right now and not dwell in the past especially the bad experiences... look ahead and only look back to good and fun memories. Treasure every moment. Things happen for a reason.

    It means grow and change because people ar human and we all make mistakes. Those who run from one person to another find themselves alone with a cat.

    I think this is about someone who has recently broken up with someone, but wants to stay friends: "I don't mind / If it's me you need to turn to, we'll get by / It's the heart that really matters in the end." Even though things didn't work out, it's really better that they're just friends.

    I take this song a little differently. Rob Thomas is subliminally telling us that the world will end soon. These small hours are a metaphor for the remaining time on Earth until Jesus comes back. The umbrella is symbloic of a shield for the world's sinful ways. The rain itself is Jesus coming back washing away our regret and our sorrow. The song takes us to that moment when the line "I cannot forget how I feel right now" is sung. But these small hours and these little wonders (signs from God) for us to change before time runs out. Rob Thomas may be an angel to counter the demonic control over the American music industry.

    This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

    I think the meaning is very clear to me. I think he says we should forget what is gone, but that those little moments, how we feel, are special. He says that one of his inspirations for this song was that he was walking with his dog and the dog stopped moving because he was feeling the wind on his face. I think that means some things like, for example, friedship. "These little wonders still remain". Good times with friends, funny times, or beautiful times. "Time falls away" what is gone is gone, we can't change the past. We should be looking for what COULD BE, what the future can be, and the good times we had are still in our memories and hearts.

    Like the movie (Meet the Robinsons) tells us, we should keep moving foward.

    It's such a beautiful song

    To me, it feels like this song is saying to enjoy every moment, especially the special, tiny moments of your life, the times where everything seems perfect. those small tiny moments that make every other moment worth it.

    But i also relate to it in a second way. A friend of mine is currently fighting a cancer with a short while left to live. Every moment she suffers I wonder how long more she has to endure all of this. It pains me to watch every moment of that. I'm starting to wonder if this song relates to them as well. As if heaven is where they are and life was the hard part in which is now over. And as a spirit, maybe all they have left is their memories on earth, during life. And as they look back maybe they see all those happy moments that mad life a joy.

    I believe this song has a very clear meaning; simply live life to its fullest. The line "Let it go, let it roll right off your shoulder" is simply indicating that no matter what troubles you have or problems, or things that stress you out, you should simply let them go. Things like that are just another bump in the road as you go on with life. Sometimes the present seems a lot worse, but when you look back on these little things, no one will remember them and if you 'let it go' then so will you.

    As the lyrics show, in the end when we look back in our memories, we don't exactly remember what happened, or what was said, but rather how we felt during that moment. It shows that we should forget the bad, scary, and embarrassing moments in our life and that we should be remembering the good things, and living our life in the present and not the past.

    Very beautiful song I think, it's great inspiration, especially on a bad day. The light tone and lyrics really help you to just forget things and think about the good things that has happened or will happen in life. Life is too good and too short to worry about petty things.

    It's about letting go of somebody and leaving it, when he says, "the hardest part is over, let it end" How many times have we gone back into the same mess relationship?

    When your in a bad relationship your clarity is often a mess so goes the lyric "let your clarity define you in the end".

    There is more to life than being in a relationship, so this song tells you to enjoy life beyond that. The song tells you it's okay to let go and move on.

    In these small hours.

    This song can be taken as a more broad message, but I am convinced its a relationship song much like most of Rob's music is.
