    I honestly just had this discussion with my friends, I have always thought it was about addiction and sucide. Peter Pan is the addiction which it is drugs, alcohol, cutting and etc.... Captain Hook as death. Neverland as what your hoping to see after death or your way out. Verse 2 and the rest are about the being sucidal.

    I think this song is about finally being happy in life after misery and depression. Really sums up how I have felt this year after becoming seriously ill. It's beautiful.

    I think this song is about being somewhere were everyone wants you to be something you're not. Finally the person just ran away and did them and found happiness.

    I feel that this song is about addiction, drugs being Peter Pan, playing in the woods meaning experimenting with stronger things and Captain Hook being death,Drugs take you away from reality for a little while and make you feel alone because your family just wants you to do better so you feel that they hate you for your problem which makes you turn to drugs for comfort....I guess it could have other meanings as well depending on what you or someone in your family is going through....My brother battles addiction so this song makes me think of him....he's an amazing person but he's just lost right now

    This song is so beautiful, it reminds me of depression and suicide but also hope and happiness and that there is always a way out and light at the end of the tunnel

    My friend only just passed from suicide :(

    This song is about suicide and depression... This is just my opinion... Peter pan is representing the hope and hook is the death... This song still makes me cry to this date... She may have said it is about something different... But that's how I relate
