Shinedown: I'm Not Alright Meaning
Song Released: 2012
I'm Not Alright Lyrics
Shut your mouth, no you can't have it.
Paper airplanes, open window.
Here today and gone tomorrow
I like to stare at the sun
and think about what Iv'e done. ...
-
I believe that this song is just talking about how it's okay to accept who you are. Even if people call you crazy ("dressed up in a white strait jacket."), you have to take it all in stride. "I like to stare at the sun and think about what I've done." This to me symbolizes that if you are proud of what you have done in your life or what accomplishments you have, then nobody should be able to tear that down. There is nothing wrong with being unique or different from what is typically accepted.
-
This song is about being comfortable in your own skin, everyone's a little crazy on the inside after all.
-
It's about Syd Barrett from Pink Floyd. Just a guess though
-
Am I the only one who thinks this song might be about tripping?
