My Plague Lyrics

I'm in conniptions for the final act you came here for
The one derivative you manage is the one I abhor
I need a minute to elaborate for everyone the
Everyday bullshit things that you have done

Your impossible ego fuck is like...

Although all the sites say different, the way I interpreted it from just listening to it first hand was pretty much talking about bullying. Stuff like "I don't mind being ogled ridiculed made to feel minuscule, if you consider the source, its kinda pitiful" which is an excellent explanation of bullying, and stuff like "I know why you blame me, I know why you blame yourself" was to me saying that the reason they bully is because of problems they have with themselves.
Of course I agree with the other interpretations, but this is what I initially thought from the song

So first of all everyone needs to get the lyrics right.... It's ego fuck for starters, and I have never thought about what the song truly means, all I know is that I have seen misprinted lyrics on the first few posts.... I feel that is it an outpouring of someone's feelings that has been bottled up and finally gets let go... Someone who has been pushed around by the societal normals that know nothing of love and equality, also I wrote these lyrics on my parents' doorway when I was 16 in Lou of "kill you, fuck you, I will never be you, so I know that has specific meaning towards someone of a role model state, not sure.... Also, it's I know why you blame me, I know why you PLAUGE me yourself, so that is posted wrong here as well.....as well as someone being in so much anguish that they're hurting themselves... Again I feel it is about someone being pushed around or bullied to the point of breaking.... Haven't seen a lot of reasons to stop it, can't just drop it..... I'm just a bastard but at least I admit it... Could that be that he was made fun of for his home life as well..... I have the slipknot number order from the self titled album tattooed on my arm for this song and I feel that it is about some one being pushed and pushed until they snap!! Thank you.... Parmesan.... Maggot since mate feed kill repeat!! If you even know that was their first album!!

So its not about being left with "a plague" after being in an emotionally and psychologically Abusive relationship? Kinda makes sense. "I know why you blame me, I know why you blame yourself" could be because their a fucking manipulative cunning sociopath. "Your impossible mind fuck is like.." could be reffering to the same as above. And the line of lyrics that start with, I'm turning it around like a knife in the shell could be him lashing out and trying to impossible mind fuck them back after he realizes he's been manipulated and knows he's being a dick but at least he admits it. Something a sociopath would never do.And he says I'll reach and take a bite of the shit you call a heart. Something sociopaths lack.

I could be severely wrong tho

when i first listened to this song I was in middle of a fight with some hypocritical girl that was judging my every move that I did on her. Bottom line is this. This song is about people that judge other people without any knowledge who they are just like corey said "I don't mind being ogled, ridiculed, made to feel minuscule...The only thing that you really know about me is...That's what you'll ever know!".

When I first heard this song, I thought that it was about a bully that was just trying to fit into the crowd. Not really being himself. The lyric "I know why you plague me, I know why you plague yourself," is basically saying that I know why you do this to me and your doing this to yourself because your not staying true to yourself your not being real. "Kill you fuck you I'll never be you," is saying that I don't want to become someone like you because your not real and you copy others to get attention. Then again, this is my interpretation.

Corey is pissed and fed up from posers. The quote "Kill you fuck you I will never be you" is directed to followers. People who are not being themselves, and trying to fit in by acting like someone else. The quote “I know why you plague me” basically means that he knows why people are fucking with him and he is sick of it and of all the posers in this world; people doing things for popularity and so on. The quote “I'll reach in and take a bite out of that shit you call a heart,” is just warning everyone not to push him any further or else he will snap and kill him. The quote “I know why you plague (yourself)” is informing the person that he knows why he is messing around with him, and that he has had enough and he cannot be pushed around any longer.

yes I do agree with all the above interpretations, but the fact that corey's screams are digitally enhanced is bullshit, listen to them live, they sound almost the same as on the CD. Everything in studio is enhanced to make it have a cleaner sound, you must be retarded to think that they're enhanced just becuase corey can't scream... He can

OKAY, YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT COREY SUCKS?
    Go listen to 9.0...
He does not sound that different minus the fact that its live so it is going to sound different.
When you're recording in a studio, you record parts of the song at a time, and they do digitally enhance some parts because some tings might lose power after a while.
As for the song, I agree with all of your interpretations.
But I really absolutely agree with the bullying one.
It makes perfect sense to me.

Corey basically has a plague which is the people trying to be like him. In other words just be your self and have self respect. Also that is what the coolest thing is, not to give a shit who you are as long as you love and respect yourself.
Popular people love you for what you are, not who you are.

P.S: Corey probably has incredibly strong vocal cords and does not suck. He puts the risk of snapping his vocal cords and never being able to speak again for the rest of his life just for our entertainment. So cheer for him, respect him and give him what he deserves.

Also it is best to stand out.
Just be yourself - the basic meaning.

    What the ?!?!?! People?

This song is about posers. That's a fact. Drag yourself to www.Black-goat.Com and check it out.
Corey was sick of posers, even though he helped them.
Nobody was talented in slipknot, save chris fehn and joey jordinson (not actually his real name).
    Pity joey is emo scum.

P.S: corey sucks. His screams are digitally enhanced.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
