I know I'm headed for the bottom
But I'm riding you all the...

I like to think its a revenge song for anybody who has felt stepped on or mistreated. For example, a ordinary worker with an irritable boss, or an abusive spouse in a relationship. The feelings of being mistreated and neglect manifest a rage within someone, in which they do something which they know they are going to hell for, but dont care as long as they get their revenge on the person they hate

Mailman is Satan, "the most important fool you forgot to see". Satan knows he is headed for the bottom and riding most of the people all the way. "My place was beneath you but now I am above. And now I send you a message of love. A simple reminder what you won't see a future so holy without me." God created originally Satan as a servant of humans, but Satan would not have that and rebelled. Now he is tempting humans with a message of selfish fleshly love which you would not see in the future Kingdom of God.
