Daylight to Break Lyrics

I've seen the darkest things
Crawling inside of me
I've seen the monsters come alive
I've seen the enemy
The nightmare follows me
Searching the darkness for a light

Waiting for daylight to break up this room
Waiting for daylight to...

this song just reminds me of the trial's God will put us through. James 1,2-5 Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. 3 For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything. 5 If you need wisdom – if you want to know what God wants you to do – ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking. Count it joy when your tested and at the end of your hearts testing let us rise on wings of faith. But you can't do it without God.

For those of you who don't know, this song was a free release from switchfoot's website, and it is also pretty good (and deep). For me, it means waking up from the darkness, God renewing your soul and delivering you from the darkness inside (sin, the enemy) then making a mess of yourself again (back in the tradjety)and coming back into forgivness and Gods light. Also he (Jon) is singing of the day finaly coming, the night ending (Jesus returning, or even going to heaven). It could also be about a partner or loved one, ("Warring alarms 'till you are in my arms" and "Waking up without you".
So that's my interpretations. By Tristan C
