Taylor recounts a memory she shared with her parents at a young age, when they took a day trip to a pumpkin patch of some sort in the fall of 1995. Taylor, clad in a big coat to keep warm, had a fun day as her parents watched and laughed. Sleeping on the way home is emblematic of the larger trust and security she felt–it’s her happiness in confidence in where they are taking her.

This song is talking about her and her sister/brother and the best days they had as kids.
