Right Where You Left Me Lyrics
Strangers get born, strangers get buried
Trends change, rumors fly through new skies
But I'm right where you left me
Matches burn after the other
Pages turn and stick to each other
Wages earned and...

A girl is stuck at a time and place where she and the guy broke up. Even though time have went on, she hasn't.
Her heart and mind still hasn't left the table at the restaurant where they broke up. She relives that moment every day. She doesn't want to move on because she's still hopeful that he'll come back to her. She's willing to wait even if he marries another girl and have kids of his own.
"It's been so long, but if you ever think you've got it wrong
I'm right here where you left me."
People would probably think she's stupid or delusional to wait on somebody like that, but she doesn't care. She loves him that much.
I relate to this song so much. Sometimes, you just meet someone you feel with every inch of your existence that you're meant to be with them. If it's not them, it's not gonna be anybody, otherwise, it wouldn't feel right. There's more to life than romance anyway so it's okay to love only one person. There's still your career, friends, and family.
