Alabama Song (Whisky Bar) Lyrics

Well, show me the way
To the next whisky bar
Oh, don't ask why
Oh, don't ask why

Show me the way
To the next whisky bar
Oh, don't ask why
Oh, don't ask why

For if we don't find
The next whisky bar
I tell you we must die
I tell you...

It might be an idea to put in all the lyrics: the words in the second verse on the LP aren't "whisky bar", so put in "little girl" instead.

It means a half-bottle of wine, not an underage female, in case anyone thinks Jim was a paedophile for singing that.

This website tells the origin of the poem by Bertoldt Brecht and its meaning. My German teacher in HS had us read the play translated into English as "The rise and fall of the city called Mahagony"

This song is just a cover song from a stage performance / Oprah. It was discovered by ray manzurick and wife. One day rays wife suggested how well the song would fit for the doors. Ray agreed believing Jim would dig the lyrics. The group loves the umpah beat and it becomes of the groups favorite songs player live at nearly every doors concert ever performed.
