   "Sittin' in the back..."
   attention (in the back of a car), steamed up, windows cracked, but the jokes on her as it's short term happiness
   
   "I remember when I remember the time..."
   drugs to feel good, but the jokes on her, the rush is short term, and leaves her sedated when it fades
   
   "Everything I wanted was in my hand..."
   Could have made good decisions, chose the "feel good"; "better" is tongue-in-cheek, describing the wrong kind of "better" man
   
   "Sitting in the back, baby hardly alive..."
   broken from the result of thinking short term, wishing she could drive way from her choices... the joke really is on her...
   
   "Hit me with the wind again ... I know how the story goes"
   The bridge is an aside describing how these same choices caused the death of her friend.
   
   "blame your life on me" is the Devil's perspective; with the reminder that she wasn't forced to do anything, just offered temptation for free.

   An abusive relationship, using crack/cocaine to feel. "I remember when I remember a time didnt have to take just to feel alive," than "breathing out the crack just to stay alive," maybe her (boyfriend) had a hold over her with drugs. "Beat me down but on the ground I stand," drugs beat you down but you may still stand. "Sitting in the back, baby how do you lie? If I'm about to crack, keep the pedal and drive." Meaning I'm smoking crack to numb the lies, keep going. Clearly the boyfriend may of been under the influence blaming her for it all, when possibly he introduced it to her (who knows) she got depressed with a time in her life, found a guy, gave him up for a "better" guy. Whether that be crack or really a guy. Stating in the song losing friends, the way the story goes. The way drug addiction goes.

   A person who wrecked another's life. She takes credit for the damages for what caused.
   This song sums up how I feel after my wife left me. I try to stand strong and tell her I refuse to take more than 50% of the blame. We both failed after 26 years of marriage.she then tells me she doesn't totally blame me then says "However" which anyone who understands communication 101 that anything said before " But, However, or Yet" erases it...
   So I just say, Blame all your life on me...
