   Lol, ok, this song is very simple to understand. It's about love: being in love, falling in love... and it doesn't always have to be about a girl and a guy. This song doesn't specify, so it's about someone falling in love with someone else, and how that person feels about that other person. This way, all people can relate to it, not just heterosexuals.    Y'all are absolutely killing me with these interpretations!! lmao! It is most definitely about love and falling in love. Especially at a young age. "I'm melting in your eyes, like my first time, [that I caught fire]". Yes he's referencing drugs here. But he's using it as a metaphor in comparison to the euphoric feeling of when you're with someone that you're falling in love with. His ex girlfriend, Kate, did pass away of a drug overdose the year this song was released. So it is possible that she may be the one it was written about.

   i know for a fact that this song is about gerard way, bert and him had a thing, bert was so head over heals he went and wrote this song, but after about 7 months of dating gerard up and left leaving bert... therefore bert asked the rst of the group if it was okay that they didnt preform the song anymore... thats what the song is truly about

The progression of this album was him falling in love (this song), her overdose (let it bleed), her death and him trying to get over it (yesterday's feelings), and having trouble (sound effects and overdramatics),ends with I'm A Fake because of his own addiction to drugs

   Well, i absolutely love this song!! I think the meaning is kinda about making love, but also being in love! He says Im melting in your eyes LIKE MY FIRST TIME... so i think and he says we can stay in bed and just make love thats all...but i think it is a love song and it could be about anyone!! Ps MCR and THE USED need to be bffs again!!! I <3 bert and jepha!!

    It doesn't matter if the song is about sex or not. When it comes down to it it's about love between any 2 people. This song has a lot of meaning to it.

    This song is about heroin.
    Just read the lyrics.
    It will become clear if you look at it from a different perspective.
    The lines in particular that give it away are; 'Seemed to stop my breath', 'My heart stopped beating' and 'Every second I'm without you I'm a mess'.
    Also the references to fire and melting point towards this meaning.

    Seriously. If you're a hardcore The Used fan, you would know. He introduces this song, and blue and yellow, as 'this song is about love' so it obviously is. love is any gender/age/ whatever! so don't be all 'its about gays having sex' because it could be anyone. <3
