Drown Lyrics

Good morning day
Sorry I’m not there
But all my favourite friends
Vanished in the air
It’s hard to fly when you can’t even run
Once I had the world, but now I’ve got no one

If I needed someone to control me
If I needed someone to hold me...

This song fits me perfectly so I will try my best to explain this.Good morning day.Sorry I’m not there. But all my favourite friends.Vanished in the air. It’s hard to fly when you can’t even run Once I had the world, but now I’ve got no one. Basically he is not in day, he's pretty much in the night, he wasnt once the happy person he used to be, he used to have friends that cared for him and now he feels sad and hopeless like no one really is there for him anymore, or something that is there for him all the time. You can't fly which means be on top of everything having a great life when you don't even have a life that is at least normal status. His life isn't even at least good.
If I needed someone to control me
If I needed someone to hold me down
    I would change my direction
    And save myself before I
If I needed someone to control me
If I needed someone to push me around
    I would change my direction
And save myself before I drown….drown
This part basically means he doesn't want anyone to control him like for him to seek help for his problems, talk to someone, ask for advice, to just be normal, changing his direction is to try and bring that up to once his life and hopefully start over new again. Drowning is so hopefully we wouldnt get to that point where he feels he can never change his life again.
    Good morning day
    Sorry you’re not here
    All those times before
    We’re never this unclear
It’s hard to walk when you can’t even crawl
Once I had this world, but now I’ve lost it all
Once again his life is to the dark side, not happy not positive. Before he had a postive life and now he feels nothing for it, like its all hopless, and when he did have problems he at least could sove them and change it to make his life better. His life isn't even at a normal stage its fallen down where he would have to start over totally new.
    Rolling faster than I’m breathing
    Drown
    Rolling faster than I’m breathing
    Drown
    Rolling faster than I’m breathing
Rolling faster means going down totally down. His life is falling down faster than he can breath. He needs to change his life before he gets to that point where he is totally hopeless and he can't find anymore but its hard because his life is down in the hall, where he feels like he can't control it anymore.

This song is really touchy because I think he means that a person he loves with all his heart is leaving him. They are pushing him away and he wants to be with them and they are pushing him away further and further. He is saying that he is doing things that he doesn't wanna stop. which he means drugs when he says"if I needed some1 to control me" he means he doesn't want to be helped he just wants to sulk in his missiry. And people are trying to help him but he just wants to be alone.

This song is about drugs and how they can push you around rolling faster than i'm breathing means that you're being controlled faster.

This song is about the radical decline of a heavy user. The first verse is about losing the support of loved ones. This person finds it hard to muster up enough strength to get their fix, let alone mundane activities; it was a sad sight and that's why they can't bear to watch the person waste away any longer. The chorus is about failure to recognize fault and seeing worrisome loved ones as authority figures for trying to pry them from their addiction. The second verse is about the person succumbing to their addiction. Losing mental faculties and succumbing to fatigue, they can no longer get off the floor. I think "Rolling faster than I’m breathing," is a double-entendre for being in WAY too deep and violently convulsing. As the addict slips away, thoughts of the people they've hurt and excuses they've made race by. The addict starts to bargain to no avail as death slowly creeps up-

And that's why you don't do drugs, kids.

    This is basically about drowning.
    And it's a good song.
It seems like he's at a friend's funeral or something like that.
Or it could be that he just found out about a friend's death.
But tat's just what I hink.

I think this song may be just about changing your life or stop doing drugs or stop doing whatever before it gets to a point that you need to be restrained or kept from living your life the way you want to("if I needed someone to control me, if I needed someone to push me around") and saving yourself from the bad stuff that would happen if you kept living the way you are. For the rolling faster than I'm breathing part, I would think that that's just about sinking in all the bad stuff in your life faster than you can handle it and not being able to climb your way out fast enough. The first verse may be about how all your friends left you because of the problems you had and you basically living life in a way that feels like your dead and feeling helpless and confused and detached from your real life.

to make things simple, drown is about realizing your life's going down the road. old friends and people who said they'd always be there for you, aren't there. you need help before "you drown" but you don't wanna change your ways.

This song is about how he wakes up and realizes he is letting his life slip away and letting drugs take him down and he tries to stop but everything is moving so fast. so he realized he doesn't wanna be helped, and doesn't want to be controlled, and doesnt want to stop. so he just keeps on and on with the substance abuse. "if i needed someone to control me, if i needed someone to hold me down, i would change my direction and save myself before i drown." means if he wanted to be controlled and wanted to be held down, he wouldn't be doing the drugs in the first place, and he'd rather die ("drown" in drugs) than go back to the people that restrained him before. he knows he can stop using drugs, but he doesn't want to face reality. "i would save myself before i drown"

This song is a very sad song. In this song, day is a very important person to him. He talks about not being with her, and that his favourite friends are vanishing (he's probably at a friend's funeral)

He talks about day, how she cannot " fly " when she can barely "run" which means, that she was injured, or has a disease. In the chorus, it explains how he is going to drown unless he saves himself, thus we know he is under water and these are probably thoughts he is having, and/or flashbacks. Again, it starts off with day, she has gotten worse, this time its hard for her to "walk" when she can hardly "crawl". This time he says "once he had the world and now he lost it all" which means everything that meant anything to him has been taken. after another chorus it starts with " rolling faster then I'm breathing" in my interpretation, it means he's in a car, so he's inside a car, under water, and having secon d thoughts about getting out and living.

In the end, very silently he whispers " save myself before I drown" several times, until it fades away, which means he now wanted to save himself, but its too late, and he's already breathed in water, and he leaves us.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
