Infra-Red Lyrics

From the darkness I see the light in you
Don't stress, don't stress
No one knows what goes on in our heads, our heads
We are invisible to the rest, the rest
They don't know nothing 'bout what we have, we have
'Cause everyone's living in...

It's about people seeing each other in different ways, perhaps a more strong connection, or love.

This song is about two people with a secret relationship who understand each other in ways nobody else ever can. They know what the other thinks about them even though it was never said, and are perfect for each other.

Maybe an overdone interpretation of songs but the way I listen to it- regardless of whether it was actually written with this in mind- it sounds like a story about a hidden same-sex relationship. I think about it like this because of the lyrics "everyone's living in black and white/ we see each other in a different light", the statements that other people wouldn't understand, and all the references to having a different kind of love from everyone else.

I think this song is about someone who doesn’t have meaning in their life. Until someone comes and it’s life they can see them in infrared. And it feels wonderful.

I think the song meaning is about people who gets stepped on , not taken seriously and who others view as strange or weirdos. When in reality people like that are great people who’s just waiting for a decent person to live and care for them and take them serious. And when people (I guess I’ll call them sad , lonely or depressed) like that spots another one who they feel is going through the same thing spot each other they can feel that they’re the same as them and it makes them happy to finally meet another person that’s like themselves. So they instantly feel alive and well just because people like them are near by and they can feel and see them and do to being so happy and excited the rest of the people in the world just disappear and is non existence because the people like us now make them become the outsiders and they are invisible now. See we are the people who others think is strange but we’re not, we’re just looking for other people who actually cares and have a heart and rather be lonely than to hang out with the messed up corrupt people on this earth. You see, We are normal and the others are the ones whose strange and so bad things that hurts others. I hope I explained it well enough.

I was diagnosed high functioning ASD, more precisely Aspergers, when I was a child... So is make me feel like this song is written by someone who has Aspergers...

Living in black and white. Is code for Neurotypical people... As for seeing in InfraRed. Is code for how I feel... How to say this... I see you. I watch you. I think I understand what you feeling. But.... I cant read your reactions. But my senses saying something to me. So I need you to be direct with me..... I see things differently than those who see in black and white.

It is undoubtedly a song that expresses a level of a different connection. I know this because I’m speaking from experience. I was going through a hard patch and had met someone who right from the rip seemed like the immediate answer to all my loneliness. We had quietly conveyed to each other in secret texts that there was more than friendship to our connection but we were both seeing other people at the time so we decided to suppress our true feelings. We eventually drifted apart as our partners both grew suspicious of us developing a bond. I can even remember being able to read her text messages like they had a body language that only I could see and she would sometimes mention seeing me in a different light. It was almost exactly like the lyrics of the song. I only heard it three days ago for the first time but the instant I listened a tidal wave came over me about this past situation. I can hardcore relate. It’s forbidden feelings between two people with complicated situations that are burning for each other but for some superficial reason they cannot be.

OK I think this is the kind of song that has applicability so people with all kinds of situations can see their own story in it. I personally see this as a story about two people who are in a for bidden relationship and have to hide it these people also seem like they’re in a school situation perhaps high school or college. They’re constantly surrounded by people and they have to hide it they have a hide their true selves. This could be a gay relationship this could be an interracial relationship this could be a poor versus rich Jew birth you know Jew/Muslim pairing your classic feuding families Any of these scenarios. I think it is an awesome song and I love the fact that it can be applied to all of the situations.

I believe this song is about two people who meet unexpectedly in their lives and each time they are together it is like the sun is shining from the other. That other person makes them feel understood, appreciated, loved, supported, like anything is possible. When they are together, the world disappears, but the realization that they aren’t alone in the room brings the fear in...and the “reality” makes them think they can’t have this love, the unconditional love. When the truth is the only thing that matters is that love.

I feel this song is about two lovers who connect with each other on levels other people can never see. The part "we're invisible to the rest" states the fact that people external to them don't recognise the reality of these two individuals, but since they connect with each other, they see each other in a "different light", creating a strong spiritual attraction between them, making them dive into one another's worlds to the depths that have been unexplored. it's basically a beautiful representation of the strong love between two people, a connection that is unbreakable.

As a firefighter I see it as a PTSD message, a song about how first responders or military connect with each other on common issues

According to the Three Days Grace website: Then, there’s “Infra-Red,” an airy production gives way to a sharp seesaw of guitars and luminous vocals. “There are some people you just connect with,” says Matt. “You get along with them instantly, because you understand each other. ‘Infra-Red’ is finding that person who gets you.”

I love this song! When I first heard this,it really grabbed ahould of me... I think this song is about Addicts, Addiction is a dissease &the people who live with it see recongnize and understand one another... Normal people don't understand and can't relate with addicts ...When addicts in recovery reach out to one another they almost fall into each other...It's amazing thing to see, these people notice, understand and support eachother. My name is Rollin & I'm a greatful Addict.

It's about forbidden love and relationship. I think it's about two cousins who want to be with each other and are having to hide it from the family. He looks at her and wants to be with her but she's avoiding his eye contact and shying away from him because she thinks anyone looking at her looking at him or him looking at her will see what they feel for each other so she avoids him. That's what it means when he keeps saying it's okay, it's okay, they won't understand us anyway and also no one knows what goes on in our heads. But this also means they really understand each other too and that's why they're drawn to each other, they really get each other. And he knows she wants him so she needs to just admit it.

i believe in my own humble opinion, that one mas is really into one woman, and he is describing her as a person that only he understands her because they are similar if not the same, and possibly he wants her to be his, because she also understands him, the way they are, the way they act, other people don't understand them.
