   It’s derived from Aesop’s fable. Both the wolf and the lion are selfish with only their own wants in mind, although they have the same desires. The conniving wolf feels justly in taking what it wants but The lion is smarter and knows they are both thieves in the end, so he steals the wolf’s takings and leaves him with the scraps.

   This song indeed has a darker meaning to it than what meets the eye and ear.....
   It's haunting tune only adds to the darkness...
   The lion is the one who appears in physical form and torments you in the real world, you are not secure outside, but when you retreat to the shelter of isolation, the wolf or the voices in your head are lurking there with a dark purpose. The wolf is the one which feeds you the lies which result in suicidal thoughts and depression, and when they collaborate to make depression and fear your dominant feelings, the lion will be the one to rip out your flesh literally and the wolf will feed off your blood and use it ti manipulate you...

   I think the lion represents the mocking and bulling and the wolf is betrayal. Every time you go out of the protection of your family and friends (or your house) the mocker (the lion) attacks you. The wolf could be like your boyfriend/girlfriend more likely. Could also be a best friend. The friend (wolf) was only using you and never loved you. But you didn't know that. The friend (wolf) has no interest in you any more and probably already got what he wanted. So he betrayed you and let the friend mock you and even joins in. (Both animals attack you kill you by tearing you apart) a When they betray you it killed your happiness/self-esteem/etc. and left you in a dark depression. Like your happiness died. (You died)
