The song is about him and his buddies hanging out at some kind of public place where they play music until a 30 year old, smart, and beautiful Spanish female walks in the door, gets the dj to play her favorite Spanish love song, finds him and buddies and tells them that her name was a hand me down from a side of her family that moved to the US somewhere between 1990 and 2000. As the song goes on, all of his buddies leave the place, leaving him and the 30 year old smart, and beautiful Spanish female all by themselves. Tim McGraw and the 30 year old smart, and beautiful Spanish female talk the night away, he sees that she is wearing cherry lip gloss, doesn’t say anything else, and remains quiet. She leans in close and gives him a long, sweet, wet, good night and good bye kiss. It leaves him stunned for a second and he ends the song. This female is different than the 20 year old female in his love song Shotgun Rider who is someone else’s girlfriend, has a crush on him, and wants him to be her male.
