Fake You Out Lyrics

I want to drive away
In the night, headlights call my name

I, I'll never be, be what you see inside
You say I'm not alone, but I am petrified
You say that you are close, is close the closest star?
You just feel twice as far, you just feel...

Maybe this song is about depression from feeling lonely. At first I thought this song would be about deceitfulness, but its best to pay attention to the lyrics.

"I, I'll never be what you see inside"
suggests that the supposed depressed person is saying that they'll never be what the other person is saying. Maybe they are saying stuff like "You're probably the most social and interesting person out there, you're just shy." and stuff like that.

"You say I'm not alone, but I am petrified
You say that you are close, is close the closest star?
You just feel twice as far, you just feel twice as far"
This might suggest that the depressed person is saying that no matter how much uplifting comments they get from the other person, they will never think that the other person is correct, and that they are lying (Which kinda gave me the hint that the song could be about deceit)

The chorus can suggest that the person is/will fail in life and never succeed and look like a mistake to the other person, hence the lyrics "And I'll fake you out"

    "I'm so afraid
Of what you have to say
    Cause I am quiet now
    And silence gives you space"
These lyrics could mean that the depressed person doesn't show much liking to the other persons compliments or urges to get the depressed person to open up about how they're truly feeling, and is trying to make them go away by not replying, hence the lyrics "Cos I am quiet now, and silence gives you space"

The chorus and bridge(?) have already been explained.

Now we talk about the rap.

"Its the same game today as it always is,
I don't give these places fake my name explaining this,
And the wrists of my mind have the bleeding lines
That remind me of all the times...
    I have committed
Dirty dirty crimes that are perfectly form-fitted
To what I've done and what I'm doing"
suggest that the 'same game' is another time to slit their wrists and cry and other depressing stuff like that. They don't want to tell anyone about why they are depressed and wants to just bottle it up. The bleeding lines are self explanatory. The cuts remind the depressed person of all the bad things they've done in life that makes them think that they deserve the bleeding wrists and the sadness.

"I'm brewing and losing and spewing infusing
And believe me that's what all the kids are doing
What kids are doing are killing themselves
They feel they have no control of their prisoner's cell
And if you're one of them then you're one of me
And you would do almost anything just to feel free..."
suggests that the depressed person is going crazy due to the blood loss of their own slit wrists. The next two lines are self explanatory. 'They have no control of their prisoners cell' means that they just can't control themselves. Next two lines are self explanatory.

"Am I right? Of course I am
Convince me otherwise would take all night
Before you walk away, there's one more thing I want to say
Our brains are sick but that's okay"
This part is also self explanatory if you connect it with the previous verses.

The chorus has already been explained.

There you go, my interpretation of Fake You Out.

I believe that the song is very much about how a depressed person is struggling to cope with their feelings anf rejecting others from their own live making it sadder and sadder until eventually the person in question slits their wrist and is droven crazy by not being able to control their life and the blood lose due to the slit wrist
