The Hangman's Body Count Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Hear his boots and see the figure dressed in black...
Echoes of him have been heard, spiritually he's all intact
Guided by the raven since his eyes don't see
Hear him drag the rope that goes up to the hangman’s tree

The wind...

It means that when you sell your soul to the devil when he wants and needs you. You can't hide he comes for you and the hangman body count stands for all the people he has made it look like they killed themselves but it was him they couldn't stop it. It's suicide. He forces them to commit suicide. It's all his victims.

I always believed that this song was about an execution was taken place. "Get out of your bed" meaning, literally what it means, getting out of the jail cell bed. I believe that it's about a person who is up for execution by hanging. "Justice will prevail", meaning that his/her death will bring justice to the crime committed. "You knew the day was coming, say your prayers once more, you're part of the hangman's body count" meaning that he/she knew their time was up, so they say one final prayer for forgiveness. The body count is the amount of people the executioner has executed. The crow symbolizes death, so with the crow being by the hangman himself, seems to indicate that the hangman and death work along with each other. Or maybe the hangman was Death himself the whole time.

When the wind calls your name get out of your bed..... We're all accountable for our actions, actions which not only effect our lives, but as the ripple in the pond, the effect on others lives as well.

Meaning that its time to pay for your sins. There is no running. We are all accountable for our sins and have to pay up eventually. When the hangman comes its over.
