    i think the song is about someone who is lonely, despirate to find someone to call his own, who wouldent leave no matter what, be the first for someone, although i didnt understand the "great dividing" part

    It’s about him being lonely. He wants to be noticed, not by a girl he likes but people around him. He feels like he doesn’t exist unless he goes big. But the more you hear the song the more you realize it’s about being alone and wishing you had someone. He wants to also be someone to that person, that’s why he says “someone to you.”

    This line (in my opinion) basically means that the guy wants to be led by this certain someone he looks up to (be it a love interest or a friend/family member) because he knows he'll find a better way to live his life by following them. Search up the meaning of the phrase "the great divide". Did you do it already? Ok, now that you know, look back up at the lyrics i quoted at the very top.

    "And if you feel the great dividing" means thats the person or "you" thats he's talking about in the song knows when things aren't going right and knows the righg way to get through it all, and that's why he looms up to them for guidsnce and advice. Idk if my explanation made sense. I hope it does.

    I think it’s song meaning is that he needs someone that he can trust and love and wants to be someone for him or her and needs that persons help in finding his way home and when that persons needs help he will be there

    I feel like this song represents a guy who really likes this girl but he’s just to shy to tell her so he writes this song so he can tell her. Interpret it anyway you want to.

    this connected with me bc i feel like he just wants to find love and be loved by someone. he feels as if his life has to no meaning and if did ever find that special someone he would give them the world but will he get it in return is the question?

    I think this song is about wanting someone and reaching to others to be noticed. And this also feels like those guys that has a crush on someone but to shy to say it to the person he/she likes.
