   Carolyn is the name of Jake Pitts mother. Im not sure if that is who the song is directly dedicated to but it is the only person of this name i could find with any relation to BVB. Just like the other BVB members as well as all us outcasts, Jake went through hard times as a child being bullied and isolated for being different to the mainstream but went through much more physical abuse than most others. He was tied to a tree by some kids from his school and had his legs set on fire in his senior year at high school. His mother went through serious depression as she believed it was her fault that they lived in borderline poverty and that was why he was bullied. I think this song is Jake's way of saying to her that through all of their hardship, he managed to create something beautiful - this song as well as being part of the BVB army and helping other through similar hardships

   My name is Carolynn and I feel a big connection to it of what people keep telling me that I'm strong by myself and got bullied and still do and only have fake friends but this song has helped me at some points or I relate to it

   its for jake and his mom but also in some terms if u think about it for the fans he is saying no matter what you may think your alone or everybody doesnt care but there will be someone who cares and that things will get better and they will always ahve open arms for him noatter what happens and thungs will get better

   This song has meant a lot to me. I am a Christian and though they are not a Christian band, I enjoy their music. This song means a lot. I believe this song is referring to the fans who suffer. When he says "you're not alone, we'll brave this storm, and face today" he is telling us that we don't suffer alone. He is also telling us that things will get better but we just have to wait for the trial to pass. He tells us to "face today" or focus on the current task/ trial at hand. He is telling those who hear the song and are struggling whether it be suicide or a tough trial such as loss of a relative or close friend, to hold on. He tells us that we do not suffer alone, but he can't take the pain away. He tells us that life will be difficult, but we aren't facing the trial alone. Hundreds of others feel the same pain, wondering if it will get better. This song tells us that though we may feel alone, others feel your pain, and that this trial will pass.

   The song was written for Jake Pitts mother Carolyn who was very ill at the time. Andy wrote the song and dedicated it to her and Jake. The thing about this song though is that it is for everyone. It is saying that even if you are battling with a sickness or depresson or going through a hard time there is always someone there for you. "your not alone"

   This song is for Jake's mama. She was sick at the time and Jake was probably scared for his mama.But the song also states that after the storm he will not be alone, that he has Andrew, Ashley, Christian, and Jeremy.

   Andy wrote this song but he wrote it through Jake Pitt's eyes, it's dedicated to Jake's mum as she was very ill for quite a while and it shows how Jake had to stay strong for his mum and how he had to cope with his mum being so ill, its also saying that Jake and his mum isn't alone and will get through it.
   
   If you relate it to fans it is saying if you get bullied for who you are your not alone and the line "i cant save our lives tonight" is saying they cant save us with one song, going back to the alone bit they are referring to their giant fan base that is known as the BVB Army and that everybody in that fan base is there for each other!

They wrote the song to symbolize that even if you're going through really hard times, no matter what, someone is there for you. Even if there is not much they can do, it's the support they give. This song is showing their support to people like Carolyn, Jake's mother.

    This song is basically for Jake;s mum. She battled with some depression and addiction but he just wanted to show her that he can show something beautiful... and show her that people can get out of their depression and addiction, But that's just my idea...
