Frances Ruffelle: A Little Fall Of Rain Meaning
A Little Fall Of Rain Lyrics
Eponine- Took the letter like you said, I met her father at the door. He said he would give it, I don't think I can stand...

Not really sure if anyone will read this...it's from the musical Les Miserables. This song is sung by Eponine when she's fatally wounded at the barricades and is dying in Marius's arms (and she's loved him for a while, but he doesn't love her back). He doesn't want her to die, because to him, she's like his best friend, but she's accepting the fact that she will die, and also that Marius only considered her a friend and that he loves someone else. So she dies in his arms and he finally knows her love for him. It's a sad song, and it's kinda haunting...yet it leaves the listener happier, because they know Eponine is in heaven, away from her horrible parents and with God and will be happy for the rest of eternity, and she's going to be watching over Marius as long as he lives.
