Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes Lyrics

You know this old world is full of singers
But just a few are chosen
To tear your heart out when they sing
Imagine life without them
All your, radio heros
Like the outlaw that walks through Jesse's dream

No, there will never be...

I take this as who’s going to fill the shoes of the legends in your life. Although hank lefty and Merle are mentioned in the song, they are just examples of the legends in country music. What about the legends in your own life

George Jones like many other country music artist was one of the best in his time. Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes to me is he's singing about all these artist and their songs that touched their fans. So to me he's asking after they leave who's going to take their place as some of the greatest and whos gonna put meaning into their music as they did.

The singers. in this song are one of a kind. as they pass on legends and pioneers who brought country music become rare. today's country is nothing like their sound. ballads. stories romance are what they gave. its something we will never get back. unless someone takes the reins.
