All I know is it seems like it is a HUGE compliment to any band that Metallica (the band that epitomizes Heavy Metal AND has the wherewithal to remain relevant with the changing times) plays a “cover” of: Lynyrd Skynyrd, Budgie, Blue Oyster Cult, Thin Lizzy, Bob Segar (and most of the songs are not the bands respective “hits” and somewhat obscure, except to true rockers). It is a challenge to the later generations that those bands should probably be investigated by them: the fledging rock-n-rollers--they might learn something about where the roots of Metal or even, simply rock-n-roll come from? Then again, one could go back to the original Blues guitarist that R&R is based on: Johnny Lee Hooker.

This is about people in the music industry that use the talent simply for profit, rather than the artists creative contribution to music, hence: breadfan, a fan of the money your music may generate, as opposed to a music fan, that is a fan of music itself.

It’s the pursuit of material shit. Just like the people in most high paying industries like the music business

A Budgie song about trying to make it in the music biz and their money being wasted, Breadfan is a meaning for a money shredder. Like the saying, flushing money down the toilet.
