   The lyrics mean that despite the fact that the person that she loved did something (untasteful) bad, although she will never be able to live with that person again or have them so entwined in her life, she'll always love them because there will always be that part that will love them. Even though they did something bad and she cannot be in their life anymore.
   (Nicki mentioned something similar in an interview) this>>> I think it's about nicki and lil kim and how lil kim was talking trash about nicki in the game and kim made some song about hating nicki for 'stealing her song' and nicki's like i looked up to you kim and you acted like you were my friend but then you were fake but even though you did all this bad shit to me i still look up to you i still love you and respect you but ill reflect on you.

   My personal interpretation is that of someone who is hurt so much by the one they love and had all the reasons to let them go but they just can't and keep loving this person as if they were under a magical spell. Their love is like a drug addiction and magical spell that they just can't break or get over nomatter what

   She meant that she take drugs to the extent of over dose in order to heal depression and forget but they do nothing to her brain.

   I actually think pills n potions is about nikki been hurt so bad but at the same time been unable to vent her anger, she still loves because she respects whoever hurt her irrespective of what people say... But she reflects her emotions by using her money to enjoy herself and have fun like all that doesn't matter.... Not real love but respect ( niggas.......)

   Well I think it’s about the actual lyrics.
   
   When rising to the top people in your life, family, whatever, can’t handle it and end up clashing w you even though you’re generous and give everyone whatever they need, and lead the way.
   
   She’s also saying the friends who claim they ride with you also turn toxic and become rivals.
   
   Hence the game is no friends buzz, which is true.
   
   And that you’ve gotta carry on winning and enjoying your success wether others can handle it or not. And buy your cribs and live it up anyways because they proved they weren't worth your time and efforts to enjoy with you so they out.

    This song hits home. I had a friend overdose and die on January 22,2014 and another friend sho died from yet another overdose on February 12,2015. I relate to this song because even though they died and I'm angry, sad, amd resentful I still love them. Sometimes I try to numb out the pain but it never works, i n which I end up getting high off their memories because that's the only thing that I can cling onto.

    She's angry for loving him even though he has done something wrong to her. She wants to lash out at him and she is so hurt by this wrong that he's done. Possibly cheated. She then turns to pills and alcohol to soothe her anger, but it only makes it worse. She still thinks about him all the time and then takes more and more until she overdoses on those drugs.
