The lyrics seem to deal with death through excesses at a young age, either through drugs, venereal diseases [such as Aids, at his public height through unprotected sex or intravenous drug use] or general excess and the perception of death on the other side. The term "Im Broken" is also used to address a deceased state. Also bear in mind the song was written close to the time vocalist Phil Anselmo was close to his publicised heroin overdose to treat in his words "chronic back pain due to on stage athletic antics and the general rigours of hard touring. The album "Far Beyond Driven" featured many songs dealing with the nature of hard and disturbing drug use, and while it may of been prior to his heroin abuse it's a possibility he may of been hanging around in those circles prior to come in contact with the drug.
