Isn't it obvious that the song is about divorce?
"Independence," "burning bridges" and "using different names" should've been the clue-in.

To me this song is obvious. Their love was amazing, blinding, beautiful. It has changed and he is singing about the process of that change (kinda like divorce really..claiming back the land, already using different names, etc.) The line "where you're not below me anymore" denotes that the relationship near the end turned into a bitter exchange where when one was trying to get past the negativity, and the other dragged him down with it...that old adage about crabs in a barrel? That's what that line is referring to. And all that talk about their love sowing seeds of real, good revolution? Seeds for radical change...a revolution within themselves as people and how they will deal with love in the future, realizing that there is more needed to keep a love going more than just love itself (thus the line "never be enough"). And this change ("revolution") is a good thing for both involved, and this encourages that change. Hope this is not too long winded and confusing!
