The Run and Go Lyrics

I can't take them on my own, my own
Pa, I'm not the one you know, you know
I have killed a man and all I know
Is I am on the run and go.

Don't wanna call you in the night time
Don't wanna give you all my pieces
Don't wanna hand you all my...

I feel that this song is more so about depression than anything else. Depression can leave you feeling like no one understands you, and you don't want to give any one your 'demons' for fear of how they will treat you as a result. You don't want to become a burden to anyone by giving them the secret of your depression. Even though they might be the only one you feel you could tell about such a thing, you still don't want to become call them in he nighttime or hand them all your troubles but you still want them help you escape the depression. The result is them watching you slowly give in to your demons, meanwhile they have to just sit there and watch you struggle but you still want them to stay because it makes you feel just a little safer.

I think this song is about how Tyler "killed" his old self, and he is trying to tell someone, likely his father, that he is struggling with his new self, and that he doesn't want to burden his dad with his "demons", but still needs him to stick around. The part about "cold nights under siege from accusations" is referring to how people are saying that they don't like the turn that he's taking with his music, and "cerebral thunder in one way conversations" is about how his music is a one way conversation, which is loud in his brain, but not as much in our minds. I believe that whatever caused Tyler to write this song is the cause of his depression worsening.

So my theory is very similar to the most i've read here. I think the song is about tylers depression. His depression is telling hil many bad things (that aren't even real or true) and he doesn't want to tell the lord/god. Talking to god about his struggles, problems, issues and stuff seems always difficult and embarrassing(even if it's not) because he light feel ashamed because of this problems. So god loves him with all of his heart but tyler is still afraid to talk to him, so god has "to watch him struggle from several rooms away". The following sentence "but tonight u need you to stay"is also very important. So tyler knows that he can talk to the lord but he's still not brave enough. So he asks the lord to stay by his side because he doesn't want god to leave him alone with his (depressing) thoughts even though he's not brave enough to tell god his problems...
I hope you understand my interpretation and don't judge because you think this shit makes nl sense :)

I think this song is more about Tyler killing the old person who he used to be to become a new one. I see it as Tyler in a mental ward, the "up again the wall" is possibly him trying to run away from the nurses that look after him. Obviously the several rooms away is refering to his "pa" that he suggests he's talking to at the beginning of some lyrics. Which could sum it up as a son, who doesn't like who he is, killing the person he used to be to be someone different (Reason unknown) the father takes this the wrong way- maybe even the people around him see him acting differently, this leads to him getting put away. Tyler doesn't want this, so when he's put away, and he's escaped to which he can " hear them coming down the hall". The chorus being a plea for his father to stay as he's scared. He doesn't understand why people don't like the new him, but it's an internal battle as he also does t want to give his father all his "demons".

(sorry if I get off topic I am not the smartest °^°') I think that this song is about someone going through a lot of depression, while having someone dear to their heart have to watch them struggle unknowingly(?).
They love that person a lot, but won't tell them about their issues because they don't want to suck them into their depression and make them troubled by trying to help them. The lyric; 'You'll have to watch me struggle from several rooms away' is what kind of sparked my curiosity and inspiration for wanting to decipher this song. And if I'm even close, that's gr8, cause I'm going through the exact same thing lol

I believe that this song is about a psychopath who killed a man and got caught red handed, causing them to be on "The Run and Go".

The chorus suggests that the psychopath also has a friend who they rely on but don't want to be a burden on. The friend, however, is willing to help but the psychopath urges them to just sit back and not play a major part in the crime. The psychopath only wants the friend to stay and reassure the psychopath of his sin.

When it gets to the second verse, it says 'Im up against the wall for I hear them coming down the hall' meaning that they finally got caught in a dead end and can hear the police coming down the hall ready to arrest him.

The bridge(?) suggests that the psychopath was 'under seige due to accusations'. The accusations were true and he was probably sent to a mental institution, which leads us to the next lyrics: "Cerebral thunder, in a one way conversation". This one was pretty easy to understand. The psychopath feels like theirs an endless painful storm of (probably) anxiety and insanity occurring in their brain as they have a conversation with a professional psychologist.

Then it goes to the chorus, which we have already peiced together.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
