A young Cuban fellow didn’t want to suffer his father’s fate working to death in the sugar cane fields of Cuba. He makes his way to South America following the drug trade and does well, but is careful. He gets out of the business before he gets caught and makes some nice money during his smuggling career.
All the while he misses Cuba and after he retires from the drug smuggling business he’s wistful about having nothing to go back to in Cuba. He wants to go straight but never quite finds a legitimate career or business.
