   I adored new order in the 80’s my fav band . And this song and touched by the hand of god were my fav songs
   30 years later and hearing it again I felt that the hell I lived through made me search for inner peace and what was god
   So true faith is handing all control of your life and any attachments to an outcome over to the universe and just having true faith

   Idk . I guess it all depends on your own interpretation. For me, i believe he is talking about his realization that his life is depended on the rising sun, another day of life. Facing his mortality and the realization that life is not as he used to think it was as a young child. with this realization he is living in the moment. Trying not to think of the absurdity of life. Drugs May play a role aswell. But I dont necessarily believe ot is solemnly about drugs, more about adult hood

   Its all about drug abuse for me, much like Martika's Toy Soldiers. For those like me that lived through the 80s there was a massive influx of drugs into the UK around the mid-late 80s and this song captures this perfectly. The song may reflect facets of other meanings but the PRIMARY focus for me is about drugs and the harm they cause.

   To Me this song Is talking about how different he really was From his friends From life and From The world. Nothing to New order But It seems to Me that he struggled in finding himself his sexuality his fit in The world. Definitive drug and alcohol abuse, a night life that he didnt Know but grew to Love. I personally have been bisexual and a Raver in southern california for 13 years ( im 26 ) and this song describes My life in The way i just explained It. For thise that can relate growing up in The 80's and 90's you Know how tuff It was to come out to anyone be It drugs clubbing partying sex and life. We were different despite how well excepted It Is today. Personally i feel Its more a fad and trend more than anything nowadays ( end rant :p ) but ya i remember hearing this song for The first time and It came when i was at My most Troubled but im happy with Who i am and Know life Is a storybook that im living one page at a time :)
