"leave the silver city cos all the silver girls give us black dreams"

Silver city is Hollywood - therefore 'silver girls' would (figuratively) be Hollywood girls. Hollywood (cinema) is full of false hope and materialistic desires. The desire to be a part of that world could put someone into a dark place and give them 'black dreams'.

    The chorus:

"leave the silver city cos all the silver girls give us black dreams"

its in perspective to inter-racial marriages. In porn its common to see 2 white girls doing a black guy. Somehow this has transposed into real life where girls these days go for black men. So the chorus identifies that and urges women to leave this illusion that gives them "black dreams"
