Incubus: Isadore Meaning
Song Released: 2011
Isadore Lyrics
climbed aboard a balloon
I want more than this kite will soar
I've set our sights on the moon
You can't just leave, I've given everything
I can't believe you're taking everything
You're taking everything
...

This is per the Incubus guitar player:
Einziger discussed the track's lyrical content with Rock Sound: "The song really tells a story; two people who are perhaps lovers, perhaps just close friends, and it's a classic story of betrayal. They go up into the sky in a hot air balloon, and one of them decides that they're going to keep sailing, while the other decides to leave." -
I agree with the abortion possibility since there is one parachute but not about the boys name being Isadore.
-
This song is about a Girl (erica) is pregnant and decides to have an abortion the father does not want this and is upset he names his aborted SON (yes Isadore is a boys name) Isadore and vows to love his child and not let him be forgotten......"I will not rest til the world knows the name Isadore"
-
Two partners/lovers - Erica and an nameless man have a little girl who they named Isadore.
Then Erica and the lover split, and this is a song about missing his child with every ounce of his being.
