Nickelback: Gotta Be Somebody Meaning
Song Released: 2008
Gotta Be Somebody Lyrics
To find the one in this life
The one we all dream of
But dreams just aren't enough
So I´ll be waiting for the real thing.
I'll know it by the feeling
The moment when we´re meeting
will play out...
-
This song is clearly about someone calling out for somebody to love and be loved by. Somebody who's tired of all of the games and will just wait for the real thing to come along so I'll be here holding my breath until the real thing comes along clearly means real love. Then "the moment when we're first meeting will play out just like a hollyway movie" In other words when you met that special someone it'll be.like it is in the movies.
-
This song is on about that there is somebody for everyone.
-
Everybody is searching for love. And we all dream of that day when we finally find that somebody, the person we vow to spend the rest of our lives with. Chad Kroger's lyrics are a lullaby to everyone that's searching and everybody that's given up. His analogy for finding true love is that it is like finding a diamond in the rough.
-
It seems to me that this song was written for all the people in the world that may be depressed because they've been unlucky in terms of love. It basically tells them never to give up by assuring them that there's somebody for everybody and that their "somebody" is somewhere out there.
