I think that Devil Town is about someone with an inferiority complex that's parents are getting a divorce or someone with amnesia (from 'I forgot my name again'

I believe this is about a boy (or girl) that is transgender, and when they came out his/her parents got in a fight and divorced.
The devil town is where all the Dead Genders go, the line "i forgot my name again" comes from forgetting your new name being a different gender.
"devil Town gets colder in the summertime'' i like to believe this line is suggesting Pride Month, being in summer, and all the haters that come during it.
when he says, "falling does not feel so bad when i know you have fallen this way to" suggests to me hanging out with other Transgenders and relating to them

I personally think this is a song about someone who went through a rough childhood which caused them to go through depression but they still had a friend or family member to go through it all with.

Definitely seems to be about a kid living through their parent's divorce. "Mum and Daddy aren't in love, that's fine I'll settle for two birthdays." I also get connotations that the song is about a child being confused with their sense of identity and nothing feeling real anymore. The childhood that they've always known is ultimately fake. At the start of the song the artist repeats the lyrics "We're alright" and "We're fine" which quite clearly shows their is something deeper going on and that everything isn't ok.

Just adding along to the folks that said it’s about divorce, “I forgot my name again, I think that’s something worth remembering”. I think that represents how Because of the divorce maybe because of his parents splitting they changed his last name and he keeps forgetting what his last name is?

I relate to Devil Town a lot. In my opinion, it's about a little kid who is struggling with many things. Like problems at home, their parents fighting and separating. But the child is also struggling with their gender identity. One of the ways this child copes with what is happening is their made up place, Devil Town. Lot's of children have an imaginary friend and that is who the song is referring to.

This goes into having an imaginary friend, who is there by the child's side. living somewhere new, your parents having a divorce is a scary thing for a kid.
Devil Town is their made up place, their place of comfort. Somewhere they would feel safe.

Is talking about how in their world everyone would be dead, no one to inflict more pain and heart ache on them. It would be them and their friend.

I think it's referring to being trans, with a chosen name. Talking about forgetting their birth name, because they go by their chosen name in devil town.

I heard it's about someone who doesn't know they're dead. The feeling of falling and being cold in summer. Almost like everyone in devil town is robotic or fake.

My interpretation of the song "Devil Town" is about a dysfunctional family and a friend/sibling. (Maybe even both as the same person.) Being somebody who over-analyzes everything this is what I hear in the song's lyrics:
"Life's alright in Devil Town. Yeah, right, no one's gonna catch us now," Maybe the protagonist of the song has an imaginary space in their head, and they may have named it "Devil Town."
"Dad has bought a new car now. We're fine, no one's gonna catch us now," Could mean that the protagonist has moved to a place like Devil Town and their life there so far could have been nice.
"You said something dumb again. She's mad, at least that's what they say," That means maybe that maybe the mother of the protagonist could have said something regretable to a sibling, causing that sibling to get angry.
"Mum and daddy aren't in love. That's fine, I'll settle for two birthdays," Could be about how the father got upset at the mother for upsetting the sibling of the protagonist, causing the father to leave with his kids. The kids might visit both families every once in a while, changing biweekly.
"Devil Town is colder in the summertime; I'll lose my mind at least another thousand times," It May well mean that the place they moved to isn't filled with as many lively people like they had thought. The children aren't taking the moving and divorce well, and they could have gotten depression.
"Hold my hand tight, we'll make it another night," Could mean that the siblings stuck together and believe that if they stay like that they'll make it through life.
"I still get a little scared of something new, but I feel a little safer when I'm with you," Might mean that the protagonist might get scared of change like maybe the moving or the divorce. They feel better about how their sibling is there to guide them and the sibling feels the same.
"Falling doesn't feel so bad when I know you've fallen this way too," Probably means that they've fallen into this pit of despair but they and their sibling still guide each other through the darkness, which could be interpreted as depression.
"We're all dead in Devil Town. That's fine, 'cause nothing's gonna scare us now," May mean that nobody in 'Devil Town' is very happy, and dead inside. When saying nothing would scare them is nothing could get worse from there, it's bad enough already.
"We're all in our dressing gowns, mine's white and stripey, yours is green and brown," Could mean that the sibling saw more good in the world than the protagonist; the white and stripey line sounds like a type of prison wear, while green and brown could symbolize that they're free, with the whole world to roam.
" I forgot my name again; I think that's something worth remembering," Might symbolize another sign of depression, memory loss. The protagonist might have forgotten who they truly are and they had been tainted by the darkness of life.
"Spiders in your favourite shoes; Just leave them be 'cause they're more scared of you," Probably means they have locked themselves away from the rest of the world, and their shoes age from not being worn.

It's about dissociation, mixed with the theory of a divorce, "Devil Town" is a headspace, where no one will get you, it's "colder" because summer is when memories flood back, "I forgot my name again" is something that can occur with dissociation, just my interpretation on it :)

Deviltown is about being trans. The artist is trans and uses metaphor to express their feelings about their identity. Deviltown is a metaphor for being trapped in a life and body that you don't like and confused you. The lyric "I forgot my name again" is an awesome example of this.

I think it’s about a child and there parents are fighting all the time but not divorced and they lyric “we will make it another night” is about how they are suicidal and when they say “I feel safer when I’m with you” is like there imaginary friend. Idk I just relate to this song so much oof

honestly, before reading these comments I thought the song was about two people being in LGBT+ community, "falling doesn't feel so bad when I know your falling this way too" I thought this part was about them both thinking LGBT is a sin so they both know they are falling into hell, but they're happy that they're falling together.

when I first heard this song all I could think of is my life. Let me elaborate. A child whos parents divorced at a young age but still remanined a happy child but as they grew up they realises life isnt all what it seems. When it says where all dead in devil town thats right cause nothings gonna scare us now that reminds me of suicide and suicidal thoughts the devil town is the place/emotion you feel when you are eg: self harming. And when it says nothings gonna scare us now it means that nothing can scare them anymore. The spiders in the shoes part also reminds me of how you always used to go outside in your favorite shoes and be happy but you have cut yourself off from the world and your shoes are now building up dust. And then the i forget my name again part just means that you have forgotten who you are and what you are even alive for.
This song pretty much just gives me vibes of a teenager who is going through depression and anxiety and trauma but goes to devil town ofte to find happiness
