He knows he has problems with himself but I guess he never meant for anyone to "copy" him just to be "cool," if you're following my line of thought. He doesn't want people to blame him for becoming fucked up and having issues with themselves just because they listen to his music... it's like people trying to say Slipknot is responsible for kids being violent.
Anyway, I just thought it might be about SI, since there are a lot of other songs by them which also imply this... see also "Everything Ends" -
This song is about someone trying to be someone they're not just for the way it looks or the way people will think of them. Corey Taylor, the band's vocalist, believes that people should be themselves and considers people that trying to be like him or somebody else his "Plague." The song says that if you try to be somebody else your disrespecting them and hating your true self.
