   For me this song is talking about wanting to kill yourself and no one believing you will actually do it. When you admit to people closest to you your intentions sometimes and often times they think of you as an attention seeker and thinking you won’t follow through.
   
   I get this from “god I wish I was happy” which to me sends a message of struggling with depression.
   
   “You’re going to wish you believed me” could be hinting to the fact that you are aware of how damaging your suicide will be to others and that if others just listened to what you were saying and took you seriously then it would avoid a lot of pain.
   
   “The fraying threads of recovery, crushing me from above and underneath.“ is like the pressure to be constantly doing better than you were before. Making constant and noticeable improvements in your mental health is an almost impossible task that can be incredibly daunting when you don’t have people close to you who are understanding.

   It's about recovery:
   "The fraying threads of recovery are crushing me from above and underneath."
   He sleeps in weird places, he has outbursts, and it's hard to adjust. "You're gonna wish you believed me" is like when you tell someone how bad you fucked up and how much you hate yourself, but they reassure you you're a good person. Then when things are bad again you're thinking you wished they had believed you. I find this to be true with mental illness struggles. You're encouraged to ask for help, but when you do, the response is always "it's gonna be okay", but you know, it's not okay, and no one can change that, and no one can take away the hurt.
